Seppeltsfield
Barossa and Eden ValleyA tawny from every vintage since 1878
Joseph Seppelt, an emigrant from Silesia, bought this Barossa land in 1851. Its great treasure is the Centennial Collection: an unbroken line of tawny from every vintage since 1878, and it is the only winery in the world to release a 100-year-old single-vintage wine every year. Its 1888 Gravity Cellar is making red wine again.

Fourth-generation Chester Osborn has been chief winemaker since 1984 and dreamed up the d’Arenberg Cube in 2003, a building inspired by the puzzles of winemaking: the tasting room is on its top floor, looking over McLaren Vale, the Willunga Hills and Gulf St Vincent, with a museum below.
